What the syllabus asks you to cover
International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA), Ministry of Communication and Information, National frequency allocation plan, Radio act.
Start here for the core ideas. A dedicated GitBook topic page was not available; this original guide is introductory. Use the syllabus checklist and references below to study the remaining details.
Organize the regulatory landscape
The syllabus names the ITU, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority, the responsible ministry, the national frequency-allocation plan and radio legislation. Distinguish international coordination from national regulation, licensing and allocation. A technical ability to transmit does not itself establish permission to use a band.
Study with current documents
Make a revision table containing the organization, its role, the governing instrument and the specific provision being studied. Record the edition and amendment date. Read authoritative texts rather than memorizing an uncited frequency table, fee or licence condition from older notes.
Apply the distinction
When evaluating a proposed radio link, separate engineering questions such as coverage and interference from administrative questions such as permitted service, allocation and licensing. Both matter, and one cannot substitute for the other.
Check your understanding
What is the difference between an allocation, an assignment and a licence? Which body publishes the relevant current document? The references below are a starting point for checking the latest official material; this introductory guide does not reproduce the complete legislation.
Pause and recall
Without looking back, explain the main idea, recall a key definition or formula, and describe when it applies. Include assumptions and units where relevant. Revisit any step you could not explain.
